Nia Sanchez Miss USA 2014 visits her school

The 2014 Miss USA winner, Nia Sanchez visited her school on Tuesday, April 26’ 2016. She relived her memories and recalled the golden days of her life.

The 2014 Miss USA title holder went back to her school Paloma Valley High school to serve a social experiment -- on confidence, first impressions and judging others - for the students to participate in and then talk about, in collaboration with her teacher Melinda McCulloch.

She did her graduation from Paloma Valley High School in 2008, and went to the school and spoke to students about perception and self esteem.

Nia met 18 years old girl Amber Wescott there, who gave a powerful speech on perception and other topics. After attending her AP (advanced placement) Psychology class at Paloma Valley High School, Amber got to click some good pictures with the beauty queen.

Nia Sanchez appreciated Amber Wescott for her powerful thought on perception. - “I feel like it would not have gone so wrong, if you didn’t call me out right away, like in the first two minutes,” Sanchez said laughing. “But good job. You’re smart and you caught on.”

I definitely had my ugly ducking phase,” Sanchez said.

McCulloch, who teaches the AP psychology class, has stayed in touch with Sanchez since she graduated in 2008. McCulloch shared that Sanchez told her she was nervous about coming back.

I asked her, “how could you be nervous going back to Paloma when you stood in front of everybody in the world, literally?” said McCulloch.

26 years old Sanchez looked all gorgeous. Her horn-rimmed glasses, her floral print dress made her look graceful. Nia Sanchez finished as the first runner-up at the Miss Universe pageant 2014. On October 17’ 2015, Nia Sanchez got married to her long term boyfriend Daniel Booko.
