Miss Universe 2016 pageant is just three weeks away and at the conclusion of the finale to be held on 30th January 2017, the universe will witness the crowning of a new Miss Universe, who will succeed Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines. Delegates from different nations are vying for the coveted title. One of the contestants who is working hard to end the 16 years drought of her country at Miss Universe, is India’s Roshmitha Harimurthy.

Last time India won the title was in the year 2000 under the representation of Lara Dutta. Roshmitha who is currently being mentored by Lara is all set to represent India at the Miss Universe 2016. Lara has been training Roshmitha and she is confident that Roshmitha is a great bet for the country. Lara Dutta has a message for Roshmitha before she explores her journey to the Miss Universe, and it’s really inspiring. Roshmitha is not just a gorgeous contender, she is in fact beautiful inside out. She is supporting one of the world’s largest cleft lip charities, Smile Train. She also hopes to work to improve healthcare and spread HIV awareness someday. The charmer is currently pursuing her master’s degree in International Business from the Mount Carmel College. She also loves to volunteer and regularly shares her knowledge as a teacher at Thanisandra Government Primary School in association with the Eco Foundation for Sustainable Alternatives.
