Binibining Pilipinas 2017 had a successful Press Presentation yesterday, wherein the Binibinis were introduced to the media for the first time. Donning colourful swimsuits, the contestants walked the ramp and showed off their toned body to the audience. While all the girls looks gorgeous, there was something that clicked our minds. Binibini 36 Mae Lanie Chan is no longer a part of the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 pageant. If reports are to be believed, Mae has been disqualified by the pageant organizer’s legal team, or BPCI, because of a sexy fashion shoot she did in the past. Talking about a possibility of replacement for Binibini 36, the organisation said, “We have to take this to the executive committee, so maybe we could get one more girl to replace the one that was taken just to please you people.”
25 year old Mae Lanie hailing from Isabel started working as a Flight Attendant for Philippine Airlines after finishing her graduation BS in Commerce major in Tourism Management from the Far Eastern University. The beauty queen was really excited to be a part of the Bb Pilipinas 2017 pageant, as she expressed her excitement previously by saying, “Being chosen as one of the Official Candidates of Binibini is such a great honor for me. It gives such a heart-warming feeling knowing that the hard work I put on months of preparation was appreciated. The encouragement I am currently receiving from family, friends and supporters gives me the boost and inspiration I need in this new and arduous journey I am taking. I am very excited to showcase myself and what I have learned so far from my mentors at Aces & Queens – onstage and beyond that.”
The Press Presentation of Binibining Pilipinas 2017 was graced by former Bb Pilipinas title holders. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also made a special appearance to wish the Binibinis good luck in the competition. Press Presentation is one of the major pre-pageant activities of the pageant, not just for the contestants but also for the pageant enthusiasts. For the first time, the pageant hopefuls and media from all publications were gathered to see the candidates in person. This was a chance for the Binibinis to give their best presentation.
