Maeya Nonthawan Thongleng, 22 year old singer, model and golfer was crowned Miss World Thailand’ 2014 at a glittering event held in Bangkok on Sunday night, June 21. She was crowned by her predecessor Natalie Kanyapak Phoksomboon (Miss Thailand World 2013). Besides, she also won the Talent and Top Model fast track events.
She will now travel to London to represent Thailand in the Miss World 2014 pageant scheduled for December 14' 2014 in London, England.
Maeya is a student of Stamford International University and represented Surat Thani in the pageant. She is an experienced model, and had competed in several pageants such as ‘Asian Superworld Thailand 2010’, ‘Asian top model’, ‘Thai Supermodel Contest 2007’, ‘Miss Beauty Hair by Pantene’ and several others in the past. She had also received the Miss Photogenic award in Miss Thailand World 2013.
At the same event, Venus Nanthachai was crowned the first runner up and Crattrika Sittipom was crowned the second runner up. Jackie Lawless and Wadchara Nakkasem were the other Top 5 finalists

The rest of top 10 comprised of Pattreeya Jitjamroen, Kunlatida Pornpichayanurak, Chalinda Kumpan, Parichart Boonyuen and Lalita Hongsamut. Pattreeya Jitjamroen won 'Beauty with a purpose' award, and Kunlatida Pornpichayanurak was the winner of People's Choice award.
