María Malo representing Estado de México crowned Miss Grand Mexico 2019

Miss Mexico organization held last night the first phase of the pageant – Miss Grand Mexico 2019, at Hermanos Dominguez Theatre (Teatro de la Ciudad Hermanos Dominguez). At the conclusion of the event, María Malo representing Mexico State (Estado de México) was crowned Miss Grand Mexico 2019 by her predecessor and outgoing queen Lezly Díaz, Miss Grand Mexico 2018 and Top 10 Miss Grand International 2019.

Maria Malo will now represent Mexico in Miss Grand International 2019 scheduled to be held on 25th October 2019 in Venezuela. She is 22 years of age and stands tall at an impressive height of 181 cm. Besides being a student of marketing and fashion design, she also works as a model. She also competed last year in Miss Mexico 2018 managing to secure Top 5 placement, and this year she has now won the crown of Miss Grand Mexico 2019.

At the same event, Kenia Ponce representing Baja California was crowned Miss United Continents Mexico 2019 and will now represent Mexico in the Miss United Continents 2019 pageant. She succeeds and was crowned by Andrea Sáenz, Miss United Continents Mexico 2018 and the winner also of Miss United Continents 2018.

Alexia Orozco representing Puebla was adjudged the first runner-up, and the top six finalists also included Laura Mojica (Oaxaca), Elizabeth de Alba (Aguascalientes) and Andrea Aysa (Tabasco). Ericka Cruz, Miss Universe Mexico 2001, and Clara Sosa, Miss Grand Mexico 2019 were part of the jury for the event.

The finale of Miss Mexico 2019, which will see the crowning of Miss World Mexico 2019, by Vanessa Ponce, Miss Mexico 2018 and Miss World 2018, will be held on 7th September 2019.
