At the finale of the recently concluded Miss Gibraltar 2019 beauty pageant, 22-year-old splendid beauty Celine Bolaños has been crowned Miss Gibraltar 2019 and will now represent Gibraltar in Miss World 2019. Celine outperformed the other seven contestants to succeed Star Isabel Farrugia, Miss Gibraltar 2018. She was definitely the front-runner and my favourite to win the title. Besides the title of Miss World Gibraltar 2019, she also won the special awards for Miss Top Model and Best Interview.
Celine is currently working as a Corporate Service Administrator and is a fluent speaker of English and Spanish. She thinks that participating and winning the Miss Gibraltar 2019 is a good opportunity to step out of her comfort zone, improve her self-confidence and public speaking as well as leadership and communication skills. She wishes to represent the beauty and culture of Gibraltar at the international platform. With her gorgeous beauty, positive attitude, mesmerising smile and the will to represent her country with sincerity and dedication, she has now won the crown which she truly deserves.
Celine’s court included Janice Sampere, the first runner-up, and Jyza Balban, the second runner-up. Daniella Ambrose, another finalist, won the Miss Friendship award.
The finale was produced by Yalta Dance Studios and was held at the new Special Olympics Sport Complex. The show kicked off with an opening sequence, with the eight contestants strutting out on stage to rock music in theatrical ball gowns. Following Miss World, the finale did not have any swimwear round, there was an active wear category instead.
The show proceeded with the introduction of the eight finalists, announcement of top 3, special awards, the runners-up and finally the winner, who truly deserved to win this contest.
