Marybeth Noonan was crowned as Miss Maine 2016 at the end of the 80th consecutive edition of the gala pageant, Miss Maine 2016, held on April 25’ 2016 at Catherine McAuley High School in Portland, Maine. The beauty queen was crowned by Miss Maine 2015 Kelsey Early.
The 20-years-old beauty has become the first official aspirant of forthcoming Miss America 2017 pageant. At the same pageant, Katherine Rushlau was adjudged as the first runner-up.

The beauty queen will now represent her state at the Miss America 2017 pageant, which is slated to be held on Spetember 11’ 2017 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The reigning Miss America, Betty Cantrell, tweeted, “Can’t believe we already have our first 2016 state titleholder!”
Marybeth Noonan hails from Raymond and is currently studying at Lyndon State College. The beauty is not alien to the world of pageantry as she also placed as the first runner-up at Miss Maine 2015 pageant.
“I put in million times more effort than I put in last year,” she said. “I dedicated this to myself. I took a semester off from school, because I used to go out of state for my schooling, so I could be home and I could dedicate my time to this program. I flew to Kansas City to work with people. I flew to New York City to work with people. It was my biggest (lifelong) dream in life.”she stated.

At the same pageant, Noonah also won the overall talent and swimsuit awards. When she heard her name being announced as the new Miss Maine 2016, tears rolled down her cheeks.
Marybeth Noonan has been stereotyped as a “Pageant Girl” most of her life. The beauty started competing at Miss Maine Pageants when she was very young and was studying in middle school.
