Miss Universe Philippines 2021 delegate Maureen Wroblewitz is all set to make it to the big screen as she is going to star in a romantic film with Kit Thompson titled ‘Runaway’. Along with these stars, the cast also includes veteran actor Audie Gemora and Filipino-Arabian supermodel MJ Lastimosa with Lana Garland.

The film will follow the story of a young girl named Hannah (Maureen) who escapes her sheltered life in Manila for an adventure in New Zealand where she meets Ben (Kit) who wants to go back home to the Philippines.

According to the press release, the film was shot in New Zealand and will be released in the Philippines and worldwide on 3rd September 2021. The film will also talk about this generation's longingness for ‘living their best life, even in borrowed time’.

Runaway is produced by Reality MM Studios, written and directed by Katski Flores and executive produced by Ronald Monteverde.

Maureen is the first Filipina to win Asia's Next Top Model. She is currently a part of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 where she has impressed everyone with her grace and beauty.

On her joining the national pageant, Maureen said, “I’ve shared the importance of getting out of your comfort zone as a means to grow as a person and that’s what I’m doing once again. This feels new and to be honest, I’m terrified but I’ve come to realize that I just fear the unknown...What I fear most though is living a life of regrets. I don’t want to grow old thinking that I should’ve joined, alternatively I would like to say ‘I’m glad I’ve joined.”
