23 years old American of Ghanaian origin, Mame Adjei was crowned Miss Maryland USA 2015. She will now represent Maryland at the Miss USA 2015 pageant. Mame is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, with Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and African Studies and minor in Business. Before completing her graduation, she did an internship with the Ministry of Communications, where she reviewed stories posted on the Government of Ghana website. She aspires to get an international law degree and hopes to work with the United Nations someday.

During her college years, Mame developed her interest and passion for social service and justice, as she simultaneously volunteered with several humanitarian organizations. Mame has also developed a youth empowerment program in Maryland. Hr desire to win Miss USA 2015 is because she wants to give the youth empowerment program a bigger platform. Since a tender age of 16 (sixteen) Mame has been into modeling. Currently she is working for a hair and beauty company based out of Washington, DC. Mame loves all forms of art and in her free time enjoys painting.
In a candid chat, Mame shared some fun and interesting facts about herself. Mame likes to learn different languages and speaks French and Akan. Her first modeling experience was at the age of six in Switzerland, when she was scouted to be featured on a Church Brochure. As soon as Mame entered High School, she started working as neighborhood dog walker.
