Finally Portugal is here with its group of contestants who will vie for the prestigious title of Miss Portuguesa 2016, the winner of which will represent Portugal at the Miss World 2016 pageant. The finale of Miss Portuguesa 2016 will be held on July 30’ 2016 at Hotel do luso. At the conclusion of the finale, Miss World Portugal 2015 Rafaela Pardete will crown her successor.

This year, the fans can vote for their favourite contestants to make them win the Miss Popularity Special Award. Portugal hasn’t had the best of luck at the Miss World beauty pageant. Melanie Vicente was the last Portuguese woman to place at Miss World pageant. Melanie made it to the Top 30 at Miss World 2012. The highest placement of Portugal at Miss World was in the year 1971 when Ana Paula de Almeida was titled second runner-up.
