The finale of the first edition of Mexicana Universal Chihuahua beauty pageant held on 2nd December 2017 concluded with the crowning of Janneth Vargas as Mexicana Universal Chihuahua 2017. Janneth, a native of Chihuahua city, succeeds Janeth Loya Trillo, Nuestra Belleza Chihuahua 2016 and bested 11 other candidates to win the title. She will now represent Chihuahua in Mexicana Universal 2018 pageant to be held in May 2018.
Her court included Lucero Sujo from Ciudad Juárez (first runner-up), Lupita Morales from Cuauhtémoc (second runner-up), Aglaya González from Camargo (third runner-up) and Alejandra Muñoz from Jiménez (fourth runner-up).
Remaining finalists were Sarahí Chávez, Samantha Aguilar, Nataly Márquez, Karyme Valdez, Valeria Pérez, Camila Briones and Merary González.
