Mexicana Universal 2018 just entered its 6th week of the competition and waved goodbye to one more delegate. With just two more weeks to go, there is no doubt that the delegates will try even harder to succeed and try to win a spot at the grand finale.

The finale of Mexicana Universal 2018 will be held on 27th May 2018 at Mexico City. Mexicana Universal 2017 Denisse Franco will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Brandon Peniche, a Mexican actor and Miss Universe Mexico 2016 Kristal Silva were also present at the 5th Gala this Sunday. Also present there to help the contestants and always guide them was the Director Lupita Jones.

The 12 candidates made a breathtaking entry on Motorcycles, being their usual goofy selves and looking ever so gorgeous. Reaching the stage, each one of them broke out into their dance performances and the audience cheered.

As the gala went on, Mexicana Universal Zacatecas 2017 Karely Sandoval, who was in danger was saved by the public votes. Also in a decision never take before, Mexicana Universal Michoacan 2017 and Mexicana Universal Yucatan 2017 were saved by the judges. All in all, the 5th gala was also a success. Unfortunately, Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2017 Yarith Ceron was eliminated from the competition.
