The 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 is going to be held on 16th May 2021 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, the USA where delegates from all over the world will compete for the crown. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title. The competition will be hosted by Mario Lopez and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo.
Andrea Meza is representing Mexico at Miss Universe 2020 and has managed to impress everyone and has become of the favorites for the crown. She is 26-years-old and is an activist who focused on women's rights and inclusion and currently works closely with the Municipal Institute for Women, which aims to end gender violence. She is a certified makeup artist and a professional model who is passionate about the work and is now preparing herself to bring the third Miss Universe crown to Mexico.
Mexico won its first Miss Universe crown 30 years ago when now National Director of Mexicana Universal Lupita Jones was crowned Miss Universe 1991. She now trains and guides the younger generation of Mexican women who aspire to represent Mexico at Miss Universe. The second Miss Universe crown came to Mexico 11 years ago when Ximena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe 2010 on 23rd August 2010. Ximena explains that winning Miss Universe 2010 title was one of the most valuable things she had experienced and to be able to take her culture and a positive message around the world and inspire people to fulfill their dreams is something she is proud of.
Just like her successors Andrea is determined and preparing herself to earn the crown for Mexico for the third time and make the people of Mexico proud and happy. She is already one of the favorites for the crown and her strong and confident personality just adds a little more to her performance. Andrea has been a part of a global charity association raising funds in countries like India, Indonesia, and China for the downtrodden. The beauty queen loves to sing and believes that it is a powerful way to showcase her emotions.
The Mexican beauty’s concern for the well-being of the world and animals had led her to turn vegan and encourages others to do the same. The beauty queen is extremely committed to her goals and ambitions in life and is making her way towards them and believes that the life we have can be lives only once and for that to achieve everything one desires, they must take risks and accept challenges in life. Andrea is also an advocate to stop street harassment and usually educates people about the issue via her social media.
Andrea describes herself as a strong, determined woman who has learned from her mistakes and grown not only as a beauty queen but also as a human being. She is preparing herself to represent her best self on-stage at Miss Universe 2020 and use the power she must inspire other people especially the ones who have been a victim of their insecurities and external attacks. With her positive and hopeful attitude, the beauty queen not only wants to win the third crown for Mexico but also makes people realize that there is nothing in this world more important than oneself and that should be the priority.
