Mexicana Universal 2020 will be the 3rd edition of the Mexicana Universal pageant. Thirty-two candidates from all over the Mexican Republic will compete for the national title. Sofía Aragón of Jalisco will crown her successor at end of the event. The winner will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
Ana Lucila Linaje was appointed Mexicana Universal Coahuila 2019 and will be representing the city of Coahuila at Mexicana Universal 2020. Ana originally hails from Monclova, is 22-years-old and stands 174 cm tall. She holds a degree in medicine in Saltillo and is aiming to specialize in oncology or plastic surgery and works as a professional model.
Ana is not new to the pageantry world; she started modelling when she was mere 14-years-old. She holds the title of Nuestra Belleza Coahuila 2015 and she also participated in Nuestra Belleza México 2016. She has since then worked hard and dedicated herself in being the best version of herself which is ready to win the title and represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020.
The diva strongly believes that a pretty face is not enough, one must be disciplined, hardworking and persistent, commented later to win the contest and become the representative of the State. Many people have doubted her ability to compete for the national title, but the support of her parents José Luis Linaje and Norma Laura Esquivel prompted her to work for her wishes.
Ana has expressed that she will do her best in the contest, because for her this is a dream that she caressed since she knew that the catwalk was one of her passions. The Monclova’s diva has always been positive and hardworking towards winning the title and Mexicana Universal Coahuila 2019 title will help her shape up her life in a better way.
The diva has always advocated about women’s rights in her country and would use the platform of Mexicana Universal 2020 for the same. She feels that the world will be a better place if everyone settles for equal rights for every gender. One of her strengths is that if you tell her: 'do this to improve', she will listen and change that. She explains that. “I am one of the people who insist a lot, who really wants to learn, to improve. One of my characteristics, the most important is the security I have in myself, that was essential to play a good role model to everyone, because that is reflected, and the other two are tenacity and perseverance.”
Ana has started to prepare herself up for the beauty pageant and is ready to fight for the crown. Since she entered the contest, she has become aware that she would represent a state, not just his municipality. “The load is very heavy. You have the commitment to the people who support you”. For Ana Lucila, in addition to all the preparation that this contest requires in terms of image, food, exercise and catwalk, the most relevant thing is to see it as a triumph in her career, but above all in life itself. She wants people to realize that in women beauty and intelligence are not fought.
