Mexicana Universal 2018 finale will be held on May 27, 2018, in Acapulco, Guerrero where 32 candidates will compete for the national title. Mexicana Universal 2017 Denisse Franco will crown her successor at the end of the event.
This will be the first edition of Mexicana Universal 2018 since before the contest was held under the name Nuestra Belleza. The winner of Mexicana Universal 2018 will represent her country in Miss Universe 2018.
But before the finale, let us take a look at the top contenders, in our opinion, for the first edition of Mexicana Universal in a series of features.
Nebai Torres from Guadalajara was crowned Mexicana Universal Jalisco on 15th December 2017 at Theater Moncayo PALCO. The 24-year-old beauty, besides being a model is a dentist by profession. Standing tall at 178 cm, Nebai is definitely one of the front-runners at the national pageant this year.
Being a model since the age of 14, Nebai also participated in Mexico’s next top model (cycle 5) where she finished amongst the Top 5 finalists.

As the contestants have reached Ciudad de Mexico and have been preparing for the grand premiere of Mexicana Universal 2018 on 8th April, Nebai has been busy learning everything possible – from nutrition to catwalks.
Nebai, on the importance of national pageant in a beauty queen’s life, comments “A Mexicana Universal is the manifestation of their dreams and goals without forgetting who she is and where she comes from.”
