At the finale of the state pageant held on 15th December 2017 at Theater Moncayo PALCCO, Nebai Torres Camarena was crowned Mexicana Universal Jalisco 2017. She bested 11 other contestants to clinch the title and will now represent Jalisco in Mexicana Universal 2018 beauty pageant to be held in May 2018. She was crowned by and succeeds Adriana Mardueño Villaseñor, Nuestra Belleza Jalisco 2016.
The 24-year-old beauty stands tall at 178 cm. She is a dentist besides being a model. She has been engaged in modelling since an early age of 14. She earlier participated in Mexico' Next Top Model (Cycle 5), where she finished amongst the Top 5 finalists.
When asked in the interview round, "What is the most recurrent mistake that a beauty queen makes?" she replied "It is when the queen forgets where she comes from. Sometimes it's because of the ego or feeling superior, but you have to be grateful."

Her court included Alejandra Palos Gutiérrez (first runner-up) and Mayra Selene Magaña Sandoval (second runner-up).
Remaining contestants were Mariana Alcaraz de la Fuente, Yazmín Váldez Gutiérrez, María Fernanda Álvarez, Beatriz Sánchez Gutiérrez, Johana Sarahí Valle Gómez, Patricia del Carmen Vergara Rodríguez, Giselle Valle Márquez, María Fernanda Vizcaíno Sahagún and Estefanía León Urzua.
