Mexicana Universal Yucatán held its first edition where Anapaola De Anda Aviña was crowned Mexicana Universal Yucatán 2017. She becomes the official representative of Yucatan for the upcoming Mexicana Universal 2018.
The winner of Mexicana Universal 2018 will get the opportunity to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2018 where Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
The 22-year-old beauty stood out amongst the other contestants from the very beginning; her short pixie cut locks and unapologetic attitude were definitely her USP at the competition.
