The grand finale of Miss World Ecuador 2016 concluded with the crowning of Mirka Paola Cabrera Mazzini as the new Miss World Ecuador. She succeeds Camila Marañon, Miss World Ecuador 2015, and will now compete in Miss World 2016 to be held in Washington attempting to win the first ever Miss World crown for Ecuador.
Mirka, who represented the province of El Oro at the finals, is 22 years of age and stands tall at 176 cm. During the question and answer round, she spoke about the cases of abuse against women. "As a society we must overcome these primitive thoughts that man is superior to woman, and understand that respect for the human being is above any reason", she said.
Her court included Andrea Cecilia Villacrés Maldonado from Guayas, the first runner-up, and Sharon Maldonado Rodríguez from Galápagos, the second runner-up. Other Top 5 finalists were Lissette Alejandra Sánchez Matamoros from Bolívar and Andrea Paulina Pendolema Orozco from Los Ríos.
