Miss Alaska USA held its 2021 edition on 8th May 2021 at Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa in Anchorage where Madison Edwards was crowned as the new Miss Alaska USA 2021 and earned her chance to represent Alaska at Miss USA 2021. Madison succeeded Miss Alaska USA 2020 Hannah Carlile for the title.
A native of Buckhannon, West Virginia, Madison is 24-years-old and is very excited about taking over the crown duties as the new Miss Alaska USA 2021 and starting preparing to represent Alaska at Miss USA 2021. After winning the crown, she took to her social media to share the news, "Yesterday was so surreal. This entire weekend has felt like a dream! I woke up this morning with a smile on my face, a beautiful crown right next to my bed, and a flood of wonderful messages from my family, friends, and some brand-new faces that I look forward to getting to know! Thank you all so much for your support and kind words. I would not be here today without you."

Madison is a strong, confident, and powerful woman who, with her determination and hard work, has managed to impress everyone. She wants to share her passion and love for what she loves and wants to showcase to the world that you can achieve anything you want by continuously learning and growing. She has expressed her gratitude for the opportunities she has received thus far, particularly Miss Alaska USA 2021 for assisting her in growing, learning, and embracing herself in the way she desired.
The beauty queen shared, "I’ve never felt more confident in myself and about my future. I am so grateful for all the challenges that I’ve faced and to all the haters that just couldn’t stand to see me shine. Thank you. You made me rise to the occasion and become the best version of myself so that I could grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I’ve found passion, purpose, true relationships, confidence, patience, and so much more. " She has started to prepare for Miss USA 2021 and believes that with the same learning and mindset, she can achieve the title of Miss USA 2021 and represent the USA at Miss Universe 2021.
Miss Alaska Teen USA 2021 was also held on the same night where Elizabeth Smith was crowned the new queen. She will represent Alaska at Miss Teen USA 2021.Kamaya Fenton was adjudged as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale.
