The coronation for the 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 is all to be held on 16th May 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel, Hollywood, Florida. The beauty competition commenced on 7th May 2021 as divas from all over the world started to arrive at the venue for the competition with a lot of enthusiasm and a winning attitude. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa for the title.

After a lot of speculation and discussions, Thuzar Wint Lwin representing Myanmar confirmed her participation in Miss Universe 2020 as she boarded the flight to Florida just a few days before the competition commenced. The pageant community was thrilled to witness the queen of democracy at the competition as she is considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title.

Thuzar Wint Lwin is known for making use of her social media in the best way possible and recently she uploaded a picture of her with her scars on the side of her breasts. The diva revealed that she was 19- years old when she discovered lumps on each side of her breasts, and doctors advised her to have them removed before they turned cancerous.

The diva continued, "Instead of recovering without a scar, the wounds led to frequent allergies and the stitches got bigger, eventually leaving permanent scars." Thuzar had just started her career as a model and knowing that she had scars around her breasts pulled her down because she knew that her body would never be the same. The queen of democracy added that she wanted to get the scars removed by laser treatment, but then she stopped after a thought crossed her mind, ‘it’s just a scar and I’m still me.’

After this thought, Thuzar realized that all she needed to do was to accept herself the way she was and realize that nothing had changed and she was always going to be the person she was. Thuzar lastly added that when she looks at those scars now, she feels empowered and is proud of herself for not going further with the laser treatment. She added, "These scars of mine are a reminder that I survived and I was conscious of what was happening to my body." Thuzar’s advocacy for Miss Universe 2020 is to raise awareness about breast cancer and body consciousness.

The beauty queen of Myanmar mentioned that women are the most precious beings of society and their bodies need really good care and that’s why it is important to be aware or conscious of what is going in and out of our bodies and treat it accordingly. Health issues like breast cancer are common among women and we can only beat it without damaging the entire system is to treat it as early as possible.

"So, to all the women out there who have experienced what I have, there is no shame in the scars you got. Be a proud survivor and raise awareness to protect our sisters from what we have seen. Let us be a light for all women around the world," Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Thuzar Wint Lwin added.

The diva is considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title of Miss Universe 2020 as she has showcased immense confidence, dedication, and determination to not only win but embrace herself in the best way possible to empower young women across the world. The diva recently shared that she had lost her luggage which had all her dresses needed for the competition in Los Angeles. Miss Universe Vietnam 2020 Nguy?n Tr?n Khánh Vân, Miss Universe Colombia 2020 Laura Olascuaga, and Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo along with their organization have stepped up to help the diva with whatever she requires. The diva is still waiting for the organizing committee to arrange her lost luggage so that she can have her desired outfits for the competition.
