Miss Universe Myanmar 2020, the 8th edition of the pageant, was held on 30th December 2020 at Novotel Max Hotel, Yangon where Thuzar Wint Lwin of Hakha was crowned the new queen. She succeeds Miss Universe Myanmar 2019 Swe Zin Htet and will now represent Myanmar in Miss Universe 2020.
Hailing from Hakha, Thuzar Wint Lwin or popularly known as Candy Thuzar impressed everyone with her confident and strong performance. Candy’s outstanding beauty, confident and attractive performance skills, intelligence, and sharpness helped her being a front runner for the national crown. She is 22-years-old and stands 170 cm tall; a final year student in English from East Yangon University. She is now also working as a professional model and beauty blogger who aspires to win the title of Miss Universe 2020 for Myanmar.
Thuzar has a beautiful appearance next to the sharp and attractive facial features. After winning the crown, she took to her social media to express her gratitude towards everyone, she mentioned, “I’m lost for words to express how proud I am to present as Miss Universe Myanmar. Still can’t believe it and I do appreciate all the love and supports along this journey with me.” The diva’s image of a dynamic, modern, and stylish lady is one of the reasons why she was one of the front runners for the national crown.
During the final question and answer round at the finale night, Thuzar was asked, “What do you think are your biggest success in entire life and why?”, to which the diva answered confidently, “Well, I am so proud getting back on my feet to look after my parents at my age and being able to try my best to make my own decisions as an independent woman. In addition, here I am standing on stage confidently would be a further victory in my life.”
Candy’s personality radiates an irresistible charm with a seductive, mature, and sharp style. Thuzar Wint Lwin won four special awards including Miss Photogenic, Miss Healthy Skin, Miss Dentiste Award and Best in Evening Gown award. She is an advocate of self-love and self-acceptance and would like to use the platform to advocate about the same. She feels that there are many people out there who struggle with accepting themselves and if she can change even one of the them; she’ll be the happiest. She is very optimistic towards life and believes that if one works hard for what they want, they will get it eventually.
With her experience as a model and love for fashion will help Thuzar in preparing for the finale night of Miss Universe 2020. She is considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title and believes that with hard work and determination, she’ll be able to impress everyone and make the people of Myanmar proud by winning the title. She is fluent in English and is positive with her preparation.
