Miss America 2020 Panel of Jury announced

The 93rd edition of Miss America pageant will be held on 19th December 2019 in Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Connecticut. It will be the ninth year that the competition would not be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Miss America 2019, Nia Imani of New York will crown her successor at the end of the event.

“Superstore” co-star, Lauren Ash, ‘Queer Eye’ culture expert Karamo and singer-songwriter-actress Kelly Rowland have been selected as the judges for the event.  The panel of experts will judge 51 candidates based on female strength, independence and empowerment in candidates’ efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact.

It is believed that this year, the judges will interact with the candidates and take a chance to know the candidate in real before taking a final decision of deciding the next Miss America 2020.

Access Hollywood co-anchors Kit Hoover and Mario Lopez will be hosting the coronation ceremony of Miss America 2020 on 19th December 2019. This year’s Miss America offers a new take on what many consider America’s very first reality show as it is lead by a star-studded women production team. The show’s new format is lead by female co-executive producer Meredith McGinn, director Sandra Restrepo and choreographer Danielle Flora.

The Miss America organization stands for empowering young women across the country to be the best they can be through leadership, talent, communication skills and smarts. The Preliminary competition will be held on 15th and 16th December 2019 at 7 PM each evening. The Preliminary competition of Miss America 2020 will be judged by a panel that includes composer and music producer Anthony Barfield, model and lifestyle consultant, Holly Pelham Davis and executive director for the Clinton Foundation, Stephanie S. Streett. The Preliminary Competition will be hosted by Miss Americas Susan Powell and Dorothy Benham.

During the coronation ceremony of Miss America 2020, the organization will be awarding a scholarship ‘Equity and Justice Scholarship’ to a candidate who best exemplifies inclusion and acceptance of the principles in her social initiatives.
