Miss Armenia 2017 Lilly Sargsyan was the first to represent the country at Miss World, marking her own debut as well as of the country at the stage. The hunt that already began early this year will officially come to an end as the finale date and time is concluded.

Last year Vice Miss Armenia fourth, third, second and first prizes went respectively to Armine Manukyan, Tereza Martirosyan, Arpine Harutyunyan and Anahit Isahanov while the crown went to Lilly Sargsyan(Miss Armenia 2017). As the tradition calls for, she will crown her successor at the end of event finale and pass on the title to new armenian beauty. Presented by All-Armenian Cultural Foundation, Miss Armenia 2018 will go on air by 9p.m. on July8, broadcasting rights held by Shant TV.

Miss Armenia ( Miss Hayastan) is a beauty pageant that has always been held on an off and on basis so far. “Miss Armenia” competition was first held in 1996 and its continuity is something that has always been put to scrutiny.

This year will be the first time that it will be held two years in a row after taking a six year hiatus from 2012. Even before the huge break, it took several intervals from time to time, now probably coming back into the picture for good. It has been said that it was due to some financial crisis, corruption allegations and poor organization that the beauty contests were not being held for 5years in Armenia.

The event is going to be a major one as attendance is speculated in huge numbers. The audience is waiting impatiently to find out who is going to steal their hearts this year; they are surely going to be glued to their TV screens for hours on end to watch their favorite pageant and then discuss their personal favorites over a morning cup of coffee.
