At the grand coronation night of Miss Austria 2019 held yesterday night, i.e. 6th June 2019, Larissa Robitschko was crowned the new queen as she succeeded Izabela Ion Miss Austria 2018. Larissa will now represent her country in Miss Universe 2019. This was the 90th edition of the national pageant.
The gorgeous beauty performed with excellence and grace at the national competition and was every bit deserving of the crown. Larissa loves to dance and is currently studying Austrian sign language. She holds the state title of Miss Styria 2019.
The contestants who competed for the national title were Larissa Robitschko Miss Styria 2019, Miriam Millonig Miss Burgenland 2019, Laura Bertolotti, Sabrina Tengler, Jaqueline Schaffer, Jimena Inéz Kotz, Melissa Deyer, Angela Windhofer Miss Salzburg 2019, Beate Evelyn Berger, Stefanie Mauracher.
Austria did not send a delegate to participate in Miss Universe 2018 as Izabela Ion did not compete in the international pageant. The country is making a comeback in Miss Universe this year. In 2017, Celine Schrenk represented Austria in Miss Universe 2017 but unfortunately remained unplaced. The country is also yet to win its first ever Miss Universe crown. The biggest placement the country won was when Eva Duringer was adjudged first runner-up at Miss Universe 1977.
