Miss Earth Netherlands 2017 Faith Landman will soon crown a new Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 (Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018) queen. The newly crowned queen will then represent Netherlands at the Miss Earth 2018 Pageant where Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco will crown her successor.

But before the grand coronation night of the Miss Earth Netherlands pageant concludes, it’s important for us to get to know the finalists that will be fighting for the Earth crown of Netherlands.

Of all the contestants, we chose 5 that we believe are the ones standing out in the race to the crown currently, and here is the scoop on the first one of our favourites.

Lisanne Meppelink is from Wapenveld and is 21 years old. Since last summer she has graduated as a nurse and is currently working in the care for the disabled. At the moment she is taking a year gap so that she can prepare herself for a follow-up course.

After Lisanne won the Miss Earth Gelderland 2018 competition, she stood there in disbelief. She couldn’t believe she had really won and immediately looked at her family and friends in the stands for confirmation. They were super happy, and she heard them cheering with balloons in their hands as a surprise for her. They went straight across the room to congratulate her. Rit is truly a moment she will never forget .

Through the Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 competition, she is really looking forward to the experiences she will have with all the other girls. She has been consciously watching her diet and leading a healthy lifestyle for a number of years now. Fortunately, superfood and a healthy lifestyle are becoming increasingly popular. According to her, it is now also time that we are not only consciously occupied with our bodies, but also with our earth. As a finalist Miss Earth Netherlands, she would like to commit herself to that.

In her spare time Lisanne likes to meet her friend or girlfriends. She is also often found in the kitchen. She loves to cook and bake, and is a fan of Rens Kroes and often tries many new recipes herself. She also loves nature. She lives in the forest and grew up in the Veluwe. She also likes to take a long forest walk with her dog, and believes it gives her the energy to get through her day.

What makes Lisanne unique is her open personality, and her natural ability to feel people and listen to them. As an eleven-year-old girl, she featured in the clip ‘Daughters of Marco Borsato’ with her father.

The Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 gala will be held at Studio 21 in Hilversum on 31st August, 2018. The coronation has previously been held at the World Hotel Wings for two years, but, due to the increase in the audiences that the pageant hosted, the venue has been changed to fulfill the increased seat requirements.
