Q. How does it feel to be crowned Miss Belgium 2018?
I feel so thankful and honoured to be crowned Miss Belgium 2018. It is like a dream come true and a reward of working hard for everyone that was involved.
Q.What is the best lesson you’ve learnt in your journey as a delegate in the Miss Belgium 2018 competition?
The best lesson I’ve learned is the hard work and to be yourself. My mother always told me ‘If you want to win, you have to work hard for it and that way you’ll earn it.’ For me, my perseverance was my asset in this competition.
Q.What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
My perseverance, I am a person that Is very goal oriented. If I want to accomplish something, I am the type of person that doesn’t give up easily until accomplished. Because Nelson Mandela once said, ‘A winner is a dreamer who never gives up’. I have a lot of people around me who are very supportive and it’s them where I put my focus on and get my inspiration. I am a strong woman and I am unstoppable.
Q.Recently, you faced some hateful racist comments after your crowning. How would you like to address that issue?
To be confronted with those comments hurts a lot. But I know those things they said are not true. I forgive them. I have a lot of people around me who are very supportive and it’s them where I put my focus on and get my inspiration.
Q.If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?
I’ll just stay in the house haha and relax.
Q.Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?
The moment I knew that my mother was pregnant. I was incredibly happy that I was going to be a big sister. Someone I could take care of.
Q.How have your Filipino roots been a part of your journey till now?
My Filipino roots have been a big part of my journey. I have a lot of Filipino supporters/fans in Belgium who supported me and are still supporting my journey till now.

Q.You have achieved so much at such a young age. Can you tell us who you look up to in life?
I look up to my parents and Nelson Mandela. My parents have taught me a lot, that I should work hard to reach my dreams and to have faith in it, and to stay humble and to respect everyone.
I also look up to Nelson Mandela because he is a fighter. He fights for the people he cares no matter what. He is a good example for everyone.
Q.What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure; to eat French fries almost every day.
Q.We are sure that this competition is just another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?
An international crown. I want to represent not only Belgium but the world without borders and to promote understanding and cooperation, and value education to achieve one's dream. I want to be a youth model. Through hard work, I want to be a pilot with a crown and travel around the world promoting my advocacy even after the pageant.
Q.If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?
- Education access to everyone
- To help those in need
- Lastly, to fix all the broken pieces that humankind has created
Q.Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?
Thank you very much, for having this interview with me. For supporting me and I hope you keep supporting me through my journey. And I love your name Angelopedia <3
