The Miss Cayman Islands Universe organization opened its registration for the title of Miss Cayman Islands Universe 2022 on Friday, 18th February 2022. The winner of this year’s edition will succeed Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2021 Georgina Kerford for the title. The registrations are open until 31st March, 2022.

The organization is yet to reveal the entire eligibility criteria for aspiring candidates but here’s what is known so far. The official statement read,” We are looking for young women between the ages of 18 - 27 to represent the Cayman Islands on the international stage at the 2022 Miss Universe Pageant.”

“For ladies looking to grow personally and professionally and to become a role model in our community and the world - this is an amazing opportunity we urge you to take,” it further read.

In addition to completing the application form, a candidate must also upload the following:

1. Proof of being a Caymanian through status or Letter of Acknowledgement as per Schedule 1

2. Police Record

3. Copy of High School Diploma

4. Full Faced Photo

5. Swimsuit Photo

The first Miss Cayman Islands Pageant was held in 1977, kicking off an annual tradition that would become the most anticipated national event. Cayman has crowned some of the most brilliant, poised, and beautiful women to be ambassadors for the country for the past 30 years. The Miss Cayman pageant promotes opportunity for young women to become true ambassadors for the Cayman Islands both locally and internationally.
