The organization of Miss Charm has recently made an official announcement that the pageant this year has been postponed indefinitely sue to the pandemic situation in the host country, Vietnam. They took to their social media to share, “This is truly a force majeure situation and beyond our control. We would like to inform; Miss Charm 2021 cannot hold the schedule as planned (September 27 - October 11). Miss Charm's organizing committee will announce a suitable place and schedule to hold the contest as soon as possible.”
The current pandemic situation in the world is still unpredictable. Ho Chi Minh City, the host of the contest, is the center of the epidemic in Vietnam. It faces the fourth wave of outbreaks with a record-high number of cases surpassing the 175.000 cases of Covid-19 infections, and the social distancing is still prolonged.
“We sincerely appreciate your companionship with Miss Charm. We are really sorry to have to announce the postponement once again. Hope you can understand and sympathize. We have been working hard to the end to make the contest go well, and it can only be successful with your companionship and efforts. We have come on a very long and arduous journey, let's try to be able to complete Miss Charm 2021 together,” the organization added.
The 2021 edition of Miss Charm was scheduled to take place on October 11th 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where delegates more than 30 countries and autonomous territories would compete for the title and crown for two weeks.
Apart from the International title and two runner-up positions the competition will also involve some subsidiary awards like, Best Social Media, Best in Evening Gown, Best In Swimsuit, Best in Ao Dai, Best National Costume, Miss Photogenic, Miss Tourism and People’s Choice.
