In yet another series of changes taking place in the JKN Global Group, Miss Diva organization is no longer the franchise of Miss Universe India and will no longer send a representative at Miss Universe. The franchise is now under Glamanand Supermodel India organization.
After Netherlands, the change came as a huge shock for ever because Miss Diva held the franchise since 2013 and produced wonderful queens in the decade they participated at Miss Universe. Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe in 2021 under their guidance and leadership.
While Miss Diva has not released any official statement as of now, the problem seemed to be about franchise fee. After multiple old running national organizations losing their franchise to host their delegate, pageant fans seemed disappointed with all the loyal and trustworthy organization losing franchises.
India is currently running a placement streak at Miss Universe since 2019. In 2019, Vartika Singh competed at Miss Universe 2019 and placed in the Top 20. Next year, Adline Castelino competed at Miss Universe 2020 where she placed as the 3rd runner-up. 2021 was a bright year for India as they won under Harnaaz Sandhu’s delegation. In 2022 and 2023, India placed in Top 16 and Top 20 under Vartika Singh and Shweta Sharda.
