Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner’s warm homecoming and motorcade

The 21st edition of Miss Earth i.e, Miss Earth 2021 was held on 21st November 2021 where contestants from all over the world competed from virtually and Destiny Wagner of Belize was crowned as the new Miss Earth at the end of the event.

The 25-year-old beat 89 other contestants to win the coveted title and bring the crown home. After winning Miss Earth 2021, she has become the first ever woman from her country to win the Miss Earth title.

Destiny arrived to her homeland on Friday evening i.e., 3rd December, 2021 at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport where she was received by her family, Hon. Andre Perez, Minister of Blue Economy & Civil Aviation, CEO Kennedy Carrillo, Mayor Bernard Wagner and councillors of the Belize City Council and staff of the Belize Tourism Board.

Also present at the airport welcome ceremony was Roxanna Bricenio, the first lady of Belize and special envoy of Belize. “Homecoming! I am so happy to be back on my native soil! Thank you Mr. Bernard Wagner for giving me the Key to Belize City,” Destiny remarked on her return. The city is already underway with grand preparations to celebrate the queen’s arrival. A motorcade is set to be hosted today from 10:30 am to 12:30 am in the city in her honour, for the first leg of ceremony. The motorcade is enroute from the hotel through Phillip Goldson Highway and is going to touch Freetown Road as one of the last spots.
