Miss Earth Bangladesh 2020 will be held soon later in the year where delegates from all over the country will compete for the title and an opportunity to represent the country at Miss Earth 2020 stage. This is the first time Bangladesh is going to send its representative to Miss Earth beauty pageant.
The registrations for the competition have started from 25th July and will continue till 18th August. The main competition for selecting Miss Earth Bangladesh 2020 will start on 22nd August and end on 4th October. The international event for Miss Earth 2020 will start on 22nd October in Manila, Philippines, and end in December.
Miss Earth Bangladesh is a joint venture between Triple Nine Global and OSHESH Ltd. Nayla Noman Bari is the National Director of Miss Earth Bangladesh, recently released a video on social media stating, "We are calling these girls as ‘Super Girls'. Every family has a super girl. We want to make positive use of social media platforms to make people aware of the use of re-use and re-cycle products. Besides, we want to contribute in creating new buyers and sellers of these products to prevent pollution in the environment.”
Nayla has a vast experience in environment-preservation and communications. In 2019, she planned a platform for women’s entrepreneurship and applied for the license of this beauty pageant because she believed that “Beauty means intelligence and creative qualities.” Naila has always inspired people to move forward rather than look back and think negatively about life. Life is all about creativity and challenges. Anyone with a sound mind can move forward. Miss Earth Bangladesh is a platform for ladies who have the power to dream.
The chief adviser, film director Noman Robin also accompanied Nayla for the video and mentioned “At least twice a year, government, private, autonomous, global organizations give away various items to their well-wishers as a gift. They can use hand-made recycled, re-used products as gifts made by our educated young women & encourage creating new marketplace. This will reduce the garbage in nature a little, increase awareness, some educated conscientious women will stand on their own feet. So, we urge everyone to unite with this initiative.”
Miss Earth is the first international beauty pageant in Bangladesh which is going to be held entirely online. Women who can make new products from waste unused plastic, cloth, e-waste, metal, paper, and organic waste will be considered as special qualification to be a participant. Each contestant will receive a guaranteed gift and the top 16 winners will receive attractive prizes. Besides, about 1000 creative contestants will be featured as women entrepreneurs.
