Miss Earth 2016 contest is heating up as the finalists are gearing up for the finale. The Organisation recently announced the Top 20 finalists of the Miss Earth 2016 pageant after the Elimination Round that took place as part of the Preliminary Competition. The delegates are leaving no stones unturned to mark their niche at the pageant.

Recently, in their efforts to understand the present situation around ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save and Educate the Girl Child) and Green, Waste Free India and to work for its betterment, Miss India Earth finalists had an interactive session with the Navjyoti India Foundation. The contestants of Miss Earth India 2016 visited the Foundation and discussed ideas for community welfare with the children and women.

The discussion was focussed more on efforts to make the environment clean and green. The contestants and experts also discussed on innovative schemes for families to facilitate them to allow their girl child to peruse higher education.

Miss Earth India is a prestigious title given to an Indian gorgeous woman who represents India at Miss Earth, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. The main winner of the contest will be given the title of Miss Earth India.

The former franchise holder for Miss Earth in India in 2015 was Glamanand Supermodel India. In 2014, the first runner- up of Miss Diva was selected as Miss Diva Earth India. Prior to that it was Femina Miss India, where the title was named "Femina Miss India Earth".
