Miss Earth India 2016 pageant was held on 3rd October 2016. The coveted pageant Miss Earth India is endorsing the advocacy of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Save Girl Child, Educate Girl Child) and “Green & Waste- Free India”. After being shortlisted as the finalist of Miss Earth India 2016, Rashi Yadav’s eyes lit with surprise and pride when her name was called on. The model from Delhi was crowned the Miss Earth India 2016.
The finals of Miss Earth India 2016 were being held at the Ramada Gurgaon Central, in New Delhi on 3rd October 2016, when a controversy about both the pageant and the winner came up. It is said that the pageant was stopped in between and suddenly, after calling all the contestants on stage, the winner was announced, even before the introduction round could happen.
Miss Earth India is a prestigious title given to an Indian gorgeous woman who represents India at Miss Earth, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. The main winner of the contest will be given the title of Miss Earth India.
The new franchise holder of Miss Earth India, Pradeep Maithani publically announced that he is looking forward to the journey of Miss Earth India 2016. Pradeep is also reportedly associated to the Miss Earth Singapore Team. Pradeep on his official social media handle expressed his feelings, as he wrote: “Organizing Miss Earth India 2016. From technology entrepreneur to conducting a beauty peagent, I cherish the changes. Proud to be on my Growbiz & Prospurs team which is ready to rock Indian sub-continent in 2016. Registration is coming up soon. Comments to improve logo OR deliver an innovative event are welcome.”
