The El John Pageants and Miss Earth Indonesia organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition of the annual national pageant, Putri Bhumi Indonesia 2021 on 29th December 2021, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the national title virtually. At the end of the event, Eunike Suwandi was elected as the new Miss Earth Indonesia as she succeeded Miss Earth Indonesia 2020 Monica Fransisca Khonado for the title and will represent the country at Miss Earth 2022.

20 years old Eunike stands 168 cm tall and was born and grew up in a natural environment and it made the diva realize that the Earth is facing serious problems. Since she was a child, she always thought before doing anything because she knows her responsibility towards the world. She has always wanted to do good not only for people but also for the nature because nature gives us everything for free. She believes that God has given us free will and we must choose to be good.

Earlier this year, at the Miss Earth 2021 pageant Monica Francisca Khonado represented the country virtually and made it among the Top 20 semi-finalists. Her performance for highly appreciated as she became the first ever Indonesian and Minahasan to be placed as a finalist in Miss Earth history, ending a 16-year drought for Indonesia since joining Miss Earth in 2005. Now, Eunike will step into the shoes and represent the country at Miss Earth 2022.
