Ben Lummis to grace the finale night of Miss Earth New Zealand 2018!

Miss Earth New Zealand 2018 is on and everyone is way too excited to know who will be the newly crowned queen to represent New Zealand at Miss Earth 2018.

The finale of the national pageant is slated to take place on 14th April at Waipuna Hotel and Conference Center, 6 PM onwards. Miss Earth New Zealand 2017 Abby Sturgin will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Just as the competition has begun, the officials have released wonderful news for their readers! It is confirmed that Ben Lummis, the first New Zealand Idol, will be performing live at the grand finale of Miss Earth New Zealand!

Ben Lummis, of Maori (Ngati Porou) and Pakeha (European), Tongan & Samoan descent, is a New Zealand R&B/Pop/Gospel recording artist who rose to fame as the winner of the First season of New Zealand Idol in 2004. He released a single ‘They Cant Take That Away’ in 2004 which got him a 4xPlatinum certification.

The official Facebook Page of Miss Earth New Zealand released the news in a caption which stated, “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The Miss Earth New Zealand Organization are extremely pleased and excited to advise that Ben Lummis, New Zealand's original Idol, will be performing live at our Grand Finale at Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre, Saturday 14 April 2018 from 6 pm onwards! So grab your tickets, quick! Only $40pp, simply by Direct Messaging our page.”
