Although New Zealand’s Tashan Kapene could not make it to the winning circle at this year’s Miss Earth competition, her performance was exceptionally well from the very beginning. She returned to her native country New Zealand on 6th November 2019 after staying in Philippines for the competition for a month.
The gorgeous diva took to her official Instagram page to express her gratitude towards the Miss Earth Organisation for giving her the amazing opportunity to represent her country in a way she had never done before. Kapene praised the biodiversity, culture and spectacular landscapes and advocated for clean and healthy environment during her coronation.
She further added that the Miss Earth platform had given her an opportunity to express her knowledge, advocacy and her strengths throughout the competition. An introduction video was also released after she was crowned in which she dazzled in a sparkling blue dress. Tashan has always been extremely rooted to her native country and her family since the beginning and that kept her grounded in the competition. Her humility and grace were always cheered for and her fans supported her through thick and thin.
Tashan has also won numerous other prizes such as Entry to the worldwide finals of Miss Earth 2019, accommodation and activities during her time at Miss Earth, one year's supply of WaiLife water and the opportunity of becoming a brand ambassador for WaiLife water and three evening gowns provided by Bharani of Lakshry Fashions to take for the duration of her time at Miss Earth.
The stunner says that she did not have any regrets because there is so much more that she still has to offer. She praised Philippines and according to her, the country had a certain warmth in it towards the visitors. She said that the people of Philippines taught her compassion, respect, patience and respect and for that, she will forever be indebted. The country was extremely hospitable and beautiful and she learn a lot staying there for three full weeks.
The beauty queen walked with utmost grace and confidence as she made it to the Top 10 finalists of Miss Earth 2019. We are extremely proud that she was adjudged as Miss Earth New Zealand 2019 and although we were saddened by her elimination post Top 10, we are certain that Tashan will make her family and country extremely proud.
