Miss Earth New Zealand organization took to their official social media to announce that Charlise Hammond has humbly decided to resign from her reign as Miss Earth New Zealand 2020. She is being replaced by Suzy Nielsen who will now compete at Miss Earth 2020 virtual edition.

Suzy Nielsen seems like a strong contender for the international crown. She currently resides in Tauranga and has already begun her preparation for her international stint since Miss Earth 2020 is going to begin this week, officially.

Miss Earth New Zealand took to their official Facebook page as they wrote, “Due to extenuating circumstances, Charlise Hammond has humbly decided to resign her reign as Miss Earth New Zealand. Having consulted other place getters, the Miss Earth New Zealand Organisation is pleased to announce Suzy Nielsen as the new Miss Earth New Zealand 2020. We wish Charlise all the best and look forward to watching Suzy on her Miss Earth New Zealand 2020 journey.”

Charlise Hammond from Hamilton was crowned Miss Earth New Zealand 2020 in March 2020. Charlise is just 18 years of age as she gave a stunning performance at the national contest. We would love to see her compete at a pageant again next year.
