Esther Oluwatosin Ajayi was crowned Miss Earth Nigeria 2022 at the coronation ceremony held at the EUI Event Center in Port Harcourt. Esther represented Ekiti at the national contest which was held on 27th August 2022.

Esther Oluwatosin Ajayi is 27 years of age and bested 24 other contestants to win her national crown. Esther advocates the ‘Mash Up the Trash Initiative’ which aims to create awareness and initiate actions among the youth on the effects of land-based pollution on the ecosystem.

Miss Earth Nigeria-Water 2022 – Miss Lagos, Emesiobi Dwelling Chisaoku

Miss Earth Nigeria-Fire 2022 – Miss Rivers State, Precious Bakor

Miss Earth Nigeria Ecotourism – Miss Anambra, Ikechukwu Ifunanya

Also at the end of the event, Miss Earth Nigeria 2021 Christine Telfer crowned Esther Oluwatosin Ajayi as her successor who will now compete at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines this November.

Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner from Belize was also present at the finale night. She also quoted, "Grand time at the finale of [Miss Earth Nigeria]. What a wonderful show filled with so much culture and love. I am beyond thankful to be here."
