Miss Philippines Earth is gearing up to host the 20th edition of Miss Philippines Earth 2020 soon. The winner of the title will represent Philippines at Miss Earth 2020 pageant. Miss Earth Philippines 2019 Janelle Lazo Tee will crown her successor by the end of the finale event.
Prior to the pageant, the first screening of Miss Philippines Earth was held with a theme of “Eco Angels” on 28th January 2020 at ‘Carousel Garden’ in Madaluyong City. The screening was graced with the presence of the reigning queens; Miss Philippines Earth Eco-Tourism 2019 Karen Nicole Piccio, Miss Philippines Earth Fire 2019 Alex Dayrit, Miss Philippines Earth Water 2019 Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Philippines Earth Air 2019 Ana Monica Tan and Miss Philippines Earth 2019 Janelle Lazo Tee.

The contestants that participated and were confirmed by the panel by the end of the screening are Roxie Baeyens, Gianni Llanes, Shane Tormes and Justienne Ortega. These four divas are considered as strong contenders for the title of Miss Earth Philippines 2020 because everyone of the them have participated in the national pageant thus, having experience in the field of pageantry.
Roxie Baeyens is 21-years-old and stands 170cm tall with a degree in Tourism form St. Louis University. She works as a model and an endorser. She has participated at Miss Tourism and Culture Universe 2019 where she was placed as the first runner-up. She had also participated at Miss Mandaluyong 2019 where she was placed as the fourth runner-up. The beauty is considered as one of the strong contenders for the title as she is hardworking and focused towards winning. She has experience in the field of pageantry which can work in her favor.
Gianni Llanes is 24-years-old and stand 169cm tall who is a courtside reporter of the Adamson University Soaring Falcons in the UAAP. She has also worked as a DJ for Magic 89.9 and a VJ for MYX. She has participated in Miss World Philippines 2018 where even though she was unplaced but was appreciated for her try at the beauty world. She later participated at Miss Mandaluyong 2019 where she was placed as the first runner-up. She is a perfect example for a saying hardworking turns into success. She has been preparing for representing Philippines at an international pageant and Miss Earth Philippines 2020 is her chance.
Shane Tormes is 27-years-old and stands 170 cm tall who holds a degree in Tourism Management from at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She was a part of Miss Philippines Earth 2017 where she won the special award of Miss Hannah’s. In 2018, she participated in Binibining Pilipinas where she was adjudged the title of Miss Talent and Miss Friendship. The diva bedazzles everyone with her runway skills and a strong determination. She has a beautiful body and charm to carry any outfit whether it’s a long gown or a swimsuit.
Justiene Ortega is a gorgeous Filipino beauty, who besides being a model is a Marketer and a Speaker who has attended various events. She works as a host who has hosted various events. Justiene will be able to compete at Miss Earth Philippines 2020 with confidence as she has already competed in Miss Tourism Philippines 2017 earlier where she stood up as the first runner-up. Justiene has also been a part of Miss World Philippines 2019.
The name of the other contestants who are going to be a part of the competition of Miss Earth Philippines 2020 are yet to be revealed by the panel. The panel at the first screening were very excited to know the views and opinions of the candidates about the Mother Nature. The panel also discussed and shared their journey with the crown and each other with the candidates.
