The Miss Earth Puerto Rico organization hosted the Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022 pageant on 30th January 2022 where delegates from all over the country competed for the national crown. At the end of the event, Paulina Avilés Feshold was crowned as the new queen as she won the opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Earth 2022 pageant.

After winning the crown, Paulina took to her social media to express her gratitude for all the love and support. “And so the adventure begins… Thank you Miss Earth Puerto Rico for not only believing in me, but for granting me the opportunity to use this platform to educate about the many ways we could help our environment, especially our coastlines, defeat climate change,” she shared as the newly crowned queen.

For Paulina Avilés, this was her first experience in a beauty contest and she decided to compete because she had nothing to lose. Feshold previously won Miss Earth Carolina 2022 and had been training for the national pageant for quite some time.

The diva is an architecture-Environmental Design student at the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras (UPRRP) and her environmental project is linked to erosion and agriculture. "Rather than worrying about what you can't control, focus on what you can produce," the diva advises. Paulina is a fitness enthusiast who spends a lot of time in the gym focusing on her body. She also practices equestrian sports.

Talking about the same she shared, “I find that it not only has to do with my high school, but that they are very important issues due to climate change. Agriculture is not only going to help us combat climate change, but also to improve and be self-sustaining. And as for erosion, we must keep in mind the aspects of architecture such as the study of land.”

The diva is an experienced model and an inspiring young queen who can definitely prove to be a strong and confident representative for the country. She is extremely grateful for all the opportunities and experiences she has had so far in the journey and is looking forward to what comes next.

Congratulations queen!
