At the conclusion of the national pageant Miss IAMSL 2016 held on July 30’ 2016, Josephine Kamara from Port Loko was crowned as the Miss Earth Sierra Leone 2016. Josephine will now represent Sierra Leone at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held in October.
Josephine Kamara is not a newbie to the world of pageantry, and has her share of experience in the world of glamour. Kamara was the first runner-up at the Miss Sierra Leone 2014 pageant and was also crowned as Miss University Sierra Leone in the year 2012. Hailing from Port Loko, Kamara is now living in the capital city of Freetown. The beauty queen has been a part of 16 Global Heroes fighting to end violence against girls and is also the founder of WOW-SL.
Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa. Sierra Leone has participated at the Miss Earth pageant only twice – 2007 and 2013. No Sierra Leonean contestant has ever won the Miss Earth crown. Do you think Josephine Kamara will be able to bring the first Miss Earth crown to the country this year?
