Miss Universe Slovak Republic organization recently took to their official social media to announce the appointment of Karolína Michalcíková as the new representative of Slovak Republic at Miss Earth 2022.

For Karolína Michalcíková, it will be the second national title this year as she was recently crowned Miss Universe Slovak Republic 2022 at the pageant held last month. The 23-year-old professional makeup artist from Trencín is also expected to compete in the 71st edition of Miss Universe on 14th January 2022.

Karolína Michalcíková’s representation at Miss Earth 2022 will mark Slovak Republic’s return to Miss Earth after two years of absence. Slovak Republic debuted at Miss Earth in 2005 and its highest placement at the pageant was in 2014 when Dária Fabrici finished in Top 8.

For Slovak Republic, this wont be the first time a delegate will be doing a crossover from Miss Universe to Miss Earth; In 2006, Judita Hrubyová participated in Miss Universe and went on to place in the Top 16 at Miss Earth. However, this time Karolina will go to Miss Earth prior to Miss Universe.

The finale of Miss Earth 2022 will take place on Tuesday, 29th November 2022 at Okada Manila in Parañaque, Philippines where around 90 countries are expected to vie for the title. Destiny Wagner of Belize will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
