Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of Miss Earth, is all set to be held on 29th November 2022 in Parañaque, Philippines where Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner of Belize will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

For a sandwich win to be created, an alternate year win has to be made by the same country. This phenomenon has been created once in Miss Earth history by Philippines when Angelia Ong was crowned Miss Earth in 2015 and then Karen Ibasco of Philippines won the crown in 2017.

In 2020, Lindsey Coffey won the Miss Earth crown for the first time for USA. Now, if Miss Earth USA 2022 Brielle Simmons wins the crown this year in 2022, it will be another sandwich win in Miss Earth history. Brielle Simmons is 21 years of age and a student at St. John’s University in New York City, majoring in Legal Studies with a focus on Environmental Law.

Brielle is definitely a strong contender this year for the crown. She is the co-founder of the non-profit organization Bringing Me Sunshine, dedicated to combating homelessness and poverty by providing environmental resources to children and families. She serves as spokesperson for We Clean Trails, the Still She Rose mental health initiative, Central Florida Animal Reserve and other conservation efforts.

Brielle’s positive spirit, intelligence and compassion will be a great asset as she competes at Miss Earth 2022. Miss Earth focuses on empowering women, promoting eco-tourism and aiding environmental causes around the globe and Brielle is the perfect representation of a strong and passionate for her cause woman. Brielle and nearly 100 delegates representing their countries will spend three weeks in the Philippines facing off in competitions like beachwear, evening gown and talent before the finale night.
