Miss Earth USA no longer holds the Miss Earth franchise

08 Jan 2016 | Angelopedia

The year 2016 has brought with it a list of controversies and hullabaloos. The one controversy that occurred by the end of 2015 and is still dragging its way to 2016, is the Miss Universe wrong crowning blunder. The latest we have come across is the split up between the Miss Earth USA organisation and Miss Earth (Carousel Production). Yes, the report was confirmed on the official Facebook page of Miss Earth United States. The page stated the following...

Miss Earth USA no longer holds the Miss Earth franchise

As bittersweet as this may be, it has truly been an honor and a privilege. After successfully celebrating 10 years of pageantry, advocacy and friendship, beginning in 2016 Miss Earth (Carousel Productions) and our organization (US Earth pageants) are mutually and respectfully parting ways. These past 10 years have been an up and down, whirl wind roller coaster of a ride. And ride, I would do all over again.

This does not mean I will not continue to fight to protect my trademarks and the Miss Earth brand from others who are trying to capitalize on the Miss Earth popularity. As I stated before, the sandbox is not a nice place to play.

To my detractors/haters: I have always understood your passion. I just hope you will hold the new franchisee to the same higher standards, demands and scrutiny.

To my supports/fans: Words cannot express how your encouragement and belief kept me going. My only hope is that one day I get the chance to meet you in person so that I can properly thank you, with a hug.

To our current and past sponsors, especially Joey Galon, Ramona Haar, Tasha Apparel, 247 Fashion, Trilogy Collection, Ninimomo, Lunada Bay, Sara Starkoff Green, your generosity and kindness was overwhelming.

To our current and past preliminary organizers, Debbie & Ted, Suzi, Jackie, Chine & Alma, Ida, Adelso, Theresa, Stephanie, Rene, Kevin, Kim: each you brought out the best in our team. A team I very proud of!

To our titleholders: Amanda Kimmel (you got this roller coaster ride in motion), Amanda Pennekamp, Lisa Forbes, Jana Murrell, Amy Diaz, Danielle Bounds, Nicole Kelly, Siria Bojorquez, Nicolle Velez, Andrea Neu and Brittany Payne & our Teens:Sarah Fitzgerald, Jolie Schaumber, Carlie Vowell, Maddison Boucher, Kaci Wickstrom, Tiffany Rea and Alyssa Alvarado .I have, am and always will be your pageant daddy. You hold a very special place in my heart and nothing can diminish that.

To the thousands of women who expressed interest in our pageants, and I had the pleasure of speaking with. Never let anyone tell you, you are not worthy, not pretty enough, not tall enough, not skinny enough or don’t belong in a pageant. Continue to pursue your dreams and remember…beauty comes in all forms.

Finally, to Carousel Productions: Thank you for these past 10 years.

The world does not come to an end. Tomorrow when I wake up, the sun will rise and I only hope the new day will be a little brighter and a lot more greener. And I will continue to support, defend, admire and love Miss Earth. Always have and always will.

So, what do you think? Who will be the new franchise holder for Miss Earth from USA? As much as we feel bad about all this, it will also be interesting to watch the new organisation work out on some new strategies for USA.  What do you think?
