Kedist Deltour became the official candidate for Miss Belgium 2021 competition as she was crowned Miss East Flanders 2021 on 27th September 2020. She will be representing the province of East Flanders at the national contest. Kedist is excited for her journey and feels that she has a lot of time to prepare herself up for the grand competition. The ceremony was held privately due to the increase of covid19 cases in the country.  

Born in Ethiopia, Kedist is 22 years of age and a hairdresser by profession. She was adopted by the couple Peter Deltour and Nadège Debeer when she was 10-years-old. She mentioned, “I've been so lucky. I ended up with the sweetest parents you can imagine.” She describes herself as someone who has a good heart and would help everyone. She also mentioned that she likes to boss around sometimes which is something she wants to change and is working on.

The diva started her journey as a model with a small fashion show in her community and has aspired to represent the country at international level. She believes that a journey of a beauty queen is not easy as people assume it to be; there are very ups and downs throughout but if one wants to be at the top, they must keep going and prove themselves. She is working on her skills and ability to give her best performance on stage at Miss Belgium 2021 and mark her standing at the beauty pageant world. The Audience Award went to Maritsa van Iterson and Miss Talent award was given toTatyana Kouzovkov at the end of the event finale.

On asking about what advise she’d like to give to the new and aspiring models, she stated, “If you think of yourself. If you hear a lot from people that you have a unique face then you should definitely take a chance as a model.” She is strong, confident, and beautiful who can be a strong contender at the competition.
