The 70th edition of Miss Ecuador i.e., Miss Ecuador 2020 began in the month of February 2020 in Portoviejo, Manabi as the official bands were given to the twenty-two delegates who will vie for the chance to represent Ecuador in Miss Universe 2020. The pageant will also a representative to Miss International (usually the first runner-up). The finale is scheduled for September and no dates or venue has been disclosed as of now.
Cristina Hidalgo Berry Miss Ecuador 2019 will crown her successor at the finale which is scheduled to be held on 13th June 2020 at the Las Vegas Park in Portoviejo. This year’s batch of twenty-two ladies boasts of animalists, models, dancers, lawyers, economists, health professionals and university students. But Daniela Mera who is representing the province of Muisne at Miss Ecuador 2020, is emerging as the potential winner for representing Ecuador at Reina Hisapanoamericana 2020 stage.
Daniela is 24-years-old and stands 173 cm tall. She is studying the eighth semester of Economics. The beautiful diva has an undertaking in natural oils for the benefit of health. She is confident, intelligent, and one of the strongest contenders for the title. She is passionate about beauty pageants and feels powerful when she is on-stage. She likes fashion and makeup which is why she is experimental with her choices.
The diva is an advocate of self-love and women empowerment and she uses her social media account to advocate the people for the same. She feels that beauty pageants have provided women to be empowered and more confident and the changing scenario of the beauty pageants help the women to work on themselves so be the best at the competition. Daniela feels that Miss Ecuador 2020 stage has helped her mould herself as a more confident and determined woman and she is more than every dedicated to win and represent her country at international stage.
Daniela loves to travel and know about various culture, traditions, and values from people as she believes that knowing about other culture and traditions gives a new perspective to us which is much needed. She is very particular about her workout regime as she feels that it is necessary for beauty queens to stay healthy and fit. The diva likes to workout and eat healthy. She explains, “There is a commitment is in us, in achieving our objectives but we must always have a little push to achieve it and well”. She is very excited to be a part of such prestigious stage where she not only wants to prove her worth but also make her family proud. She is thankful to them for their immense support and motivation.
A gala night was held on 19th February 2020 at Simón Bolívar Convention center where the delegates paraded in their gorgeous evening gowns and national costumes. Daniela Mera who is representing Muisne, adorned the National Costume designed by Andrea Segarra with a theme Sumak was awarded the first place. She is beautiful, intelligent, and confident who has already started to prepare herself for the finale night as she is working on her body angles, postures and walk on-stage. Daniela is especially paying attention towards communication and interview skills for the competition. She will a great representative of Ecuador at Reina Hisapanomericana 2020. Last year, María José Rivera Ibarra represented Ecuador at Reina Hispanoamericana2019 where she was appreciated for her performance.
