Miss Preston Elizabeth Grant has been crowned as Miss England 2016 at the finale held at the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre in Southport, England on July 21, 2016. Elizabeth succeeds Miss World England 2015 Natasha Hemmings, and will now represent England at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

20 years old Elizabeth Grant stands tall at an impressive height of 6ft, and is a psychology student and hails from the city of Ribbleton. “I don’t know what to say, I am surprised I can’t even make sense right now. I am so blessed and so grateful to even be here,” said Elizabeth after she was crowned as the winner.

The gorgeous lady defeated 49 other hopefuls to clinch the coveted title of Miss World England 2016. Also, she had never entered a beauty pageant before she competed in Miss Preston. At the same event, Miss Newcastle, Vicky Turner was titled as the first runner up and Miss Lancashire, Lucy Physick was adjudged as the second runner up.
England’s last placement at the Miss World pageant was when Carina Tyrrell was adjudged as the third runner-up at the Miss World 2014 pageant. The country holds an amazing record at the Miss World pageant, having won five Miss World crowns till date.
