SHOCKING!! The recently crowned Miss Florida USA 2017 Genesis Davila has been dethroned for violating the rules and regulations of Miss Florida USA pageant. The 24 years old beauty queen who was beaming with joy and "DREAMING on a cloud," as share by her on her Instagram post, has now been dropped to ground.

On Friday morning, the executive producer of the Miss Florida USA pageant Grant Gravitt told Local 10 News that she is no longer the reigning Miss Florida USA. The beauty queen has been accused of violating pageant rules. "We have a zero-tolerance policy on rules," said Grant Gravitt. "Whether it's something major or minor, it's all about keeping an equal and level playing field. Unfortunately, our title holder sought an unfair competitive advantage, and that's just not acceptable in our system."
According to Gravitt, the Puerto Rican beauty used professional stylists to help with her hair and makeup in her private room, and that is a violation of pageant rules. He also shared that the organisation received many complaints from the contestants, and there were even eyewitnesses. "We finally had substantial proof to link her and her vendors to her room on an evening which they were not allowed," Gravitt said.
"When one steps out of line, it's not fair to the other 64, and I couldn't look at the other 64 in the eye knowing that I had substantial proof to say, unfortunately, she sought an unfair advantage," Gravitt added.
Gravitt also shared that there is no harsh feeling for the lady and that the Team wishes no harm for her. “She made a bad choice, but she's a very good kid, and we wish her the best in her career," said Gravitt.
Davila’s lawyer who met the Miss Florida USA team to return the crown said that they will fight for Davila to keep the crown. However, Gravitt said it is a simple case of breaking the rules and the decision will not be reversed.
With Davila giving up the title of Miss Florida USA 2017, the first runner-up Miss Sunny Isles Beach USA Linette de Los Santos becomes the new Miss Florida USA 2017.
