Rehema Muthamia crowned Miss England 2021

Miss England organization held the finale of 2021 edition on 27th August 2021 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre Coventry where Rehema Muthamia was crowned Miss England 2021. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss England 2020 Bhasha Mukherjee.

Rehema Muthamia was born in England to Kenyan parents. She spent part of her childhood in Kenya and is fluent in four languages. The 25-year-old stunning beauty is a health technology consultant. Muthamia is using her platform to raise awareness of domestic abuse, which she experienced herself, and advocate for increased representation of ethnic minorities within the STEM field.

 

 

She spoke of her own ordeal at the competition as she said, "I’ve had my own personal experiences of domestic abuse and I just thought if I can use the platform that I have to raise awareness and bring the conversation to light, this is the best place to do so."

In September 2020, she graduated from The Sussex University with an integrated master’s degree in the field of genetics. Rehema bested 42 other contestants to win the national crown. Miss England 2019 Bhasha Mukherjee represented her country at Miss World 2019 and placed in the Top 40 at the finale.
