Miss France 2022 was the 92nd edition of the Miss France pageant which was held on 11 December 2021 at the Zénith de Caen in Caen, Normandy. Amandine Petit of Normandy crowned Diane Leyre of Île-de-France, her successor, at the end of the event.

Miss France 2022 Diane Leyre’s court includes –

First runner-up – Floriane Bascou of Martinique

Second runner-up – Cecile Wolfrom of Alsace

Third runner-up – Tumateata Buisson of Tahiti

Fourth runner-up – Youssra Askry of Normandy

24 years old Diane is a graduate in Business Administration at IE University and is currently a real estate agent in the 7th arrondissement in Paris. The newly crowned Miss France has insisted that she is a feminist after the contest was criticized as discriminatory by the equality minister but defended as glamorous fun by the culture minister. "As a woman I wanted to show that you can be Miss France and a feminist. For me, being a feminist is deciding what I want,” she shared.

The jury decided at the end of an evening during which the 29 regional miss candidates presented, in stiletto heels, a series of choreographies on the airs known from musicals, with a lot of rhinestones and sequins, to the cheers of the public at the venue.

Immediately after her coronation, Diane Leyre will participate in a photo shoot with the members of the jury, reunite with her family and play the game of her first press conference. The newly crowned queen will then be able to rest a little during the journey which will bring her to Paris at night.

This year at Miss Universe 2021 Clemence Botino represented France and made it to the Top 10 with a strong representation and was highly appreciated. For the Miss World 2021 pageant, April Benayoum is in Puerto Rico to compete for the coveted title as the finale is scheduled to be held on 16th December 2021. Succeeding the stunning divas, Diane Leyre will go on to represent France at either Miss Universe 2022 or Miss World 2022.

Congratulations queen!
